WHERE TO ELOPE?

The location you choose is the most important decision in the whole “How to Elope” journey. It will dictate your whole elopement experience. So there is a lot to think about to make sure it is right for you.

Kikaua Point Park

Location: Google Map

Permit: Special Permit (Photographer, Planner or Wedding Officiant Must Issue the Permit)

Time: Sunrise / Sunset

Size: no more than 15 max

Notes: Parking is limited / Needs to wait for the Parking Permit

Plus: Only one beach in Hawaii, where you can have wedding arch, chairs and etc.

Crowded: No crowded

Weather: 20% chance of rain / Mostly sun

Kehena Black Sand Beach

Permit: Wiki Permit (Photographer, Planner or Wedding Officiant Must Issue the Permit)

Time: Sunrise

Notes: Parking is limited / Stay walking distance to the beach as this airbnb, nudist beach, car break-ins & thief’s in Pahoa area.

Plus: black sand beach, very unique.

Weather: 40% chance of rain / Mostly sunny

Never leave any valuables in your car. Even if you are only leaving your car for a short period of time!  Break-ins can be common for cars parked near trailheads.  So don’t leave anything in your car!

Do you need a permit to elope?

You do need a permit to have an elopement ceremony on the Beach. The permit fee is $20 to $150. If you will be working with us, we are taking care of it. We will take care of it!
